Manhunt launched for 15 armed robbers who bombed an ATM

A group of 15 armed robbers that blew up an ATM in Bushbuckridge were still at large on Thursday morning.

According to police spokesperson, Sevly Mohlala the police from Acornhoek are investigating a case of robbery.

He said that the incident happened during the early hours of Wednesday at Acornhoek Old Complex near Bushbuckridge.

“The police report indicates that a security guard was on duty when he noticed a group of about 15 armed suspects who then went for an ATM and detonated some explosives. It is said that the suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash before they fled the scene.”

Mohlala said that further information surfaced that the armed robbers got away in two vehicles, a Toyota Camry and VW Golf. “No one has been arrested as yet”.
