On Sunday (12 September) Cogta minister, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma gazetted an extension of the national state of disaster, which will continue until 15 October 2021.

With the move to level 2 lockdown and the extension of the national state of disaster, government is now under significant pressure to end lockdown for good.

Western Cape premier, Alan Winde is one of the most vocal critics when it comes to the current regulations and the seemingly never-ending national state of disaster.
