The acting head of the Department of Health in the Northern Cape, as well as the chief financial officer of the department have been arrested on allegations of irregularities of awarding of PPE’s and contravention of the PFMA.
Nomthandazo Mnisi, spokesperson for the Hawks in the Northern Cape, says the amount involved is estimated at R43 million. They are scheduled to appear before Kimberley Magistrate court today.
