A footy fan has completely covered his house in over 50 England flags. Patriotic Lee Johnson spent four days decorating his home and used 56 flags to cover the front of his house in Basildon, Essex.
The 35-year-old delivery driver bought the merchandise in bulk two years ago and was devastated when Euro 2020 was originally postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
The dad-of-four, normally puts one or two flags up during the tournament but decided to go all out this year and use his efforts to raise money for charity.
Lee, a West Ham fan, said: “It took four days to get everything up and I’m a bit scared of heights so had to rope a mate in to help with the roof flags. “It’s the most I’ve ever done and we only moved in last year so I did worry about what the neighbours might think but they’ve all been great. “Our next door neighbour even let us put some flags up on their wall. “The kids have loved it too. We have lots of people driving past shouting ‘England’ and pulling up outside to take pictures and have a look. “I’m just hoping they go a lot further on Tuesday now.”
Lee and his wife Nicola are hoping to raise as much money as possible for The Brain Tumour Charity.
