SOUTH AFRICA. – The largest online sports memorabilia auction this year will take place on 15 & 16 October. This auction is now live and you can bid!

This exciting auction boasts sports memorabilia from prominent sporting legends, as well as current heroes in the sport industry.

Sport enthusiasts and rugby supporters will have the opportunity to bid on one of a kind items that has never been on auction – these will all be up for grabs to the highest bidder.

Braam van Straaten, chairman of Care 4 Kings, says players and legends have donated memorabilia for this legendary auction. All proceeds of this auction will go to the Care 4 Kings-fund, to help the players and staff of the liquidated Southern Kings.

Some of these items include:

· Braam van Straaten’s Springbok blazer;

· Mannetjies Roux, Springbok blazer;

· Piet Visagie’s Springbok blazer;

· Mzwandile Stick, a born-and-bred Eastern Cape player, donated a White Signed World Cup Jersey (Whole Squad) from last year’s 2019 World Cup Winning Team;

· A signed Andre Venter White Springbok Jersey;

· The WP Currie Cup Final jersey 2000 and a framed Barbarian jersey;

· A signed ball by all the BaaBaas player and the glass medal that goes with it;

· A signed Sharks jersey, donated by AJ Venter, from the 2007 Sharks side that played against the Bulls in the Super Rugby Final at the Kings Park stadium;

· Tiaan Liebenberg’s 2012 Man of the Match Stormers jersey against the Highlanders at Newlands; A one-of-a kind testimonial jersey signed by Martin Johnson, who played against All Blacks legend Jonah Lomu XV on 4th June 2005 at Twickenham – donated by Danie Coetzee;

· A framed cartoon artwork of all the players who were part of the 1998 Tri Nations Champions, with their signatures;

· And lastly, donated by Dick Muir, a signed 2011 World Cup Springbok Jersey (Whole Squad), of the opening game against Wales – which the Boks won 17/16 with some controversies – will also be up for grabs!

For the golfing enthusiasts, there is some excellent memorabilia, which includes Gary Player, Ernie Els and Retief Goosen.

Also a framed picture of Wade van Niekerk when he broke the world record in the 400m.

Another exciting item will be the double framed cartoon photo of AB de Villiers, signed him, including the game against Australia where de Villiers got 278 runs.

Care 4 Kings have been overwhelmed by the local and international support form the rugby fraternity who took time out to create support videos, such as Eben Etzebeth, Frans Malherbe, Lindsay Weyers, Mzwandile Stick, Chris Dry, AJ Venter, Rob Louw, Flip van der Merwe, School of rugby, Xola Ntshinga, Mzansisrugby, Dave von Hoesslin and many more.
