KURUMAN – ’n Gesamentlike operasie wat deur sewe lede van die Kimberley K9-eenheid en die JTG Crime Intelligence uitgevoer is, het tot die inhegtenisneming van drie vermeende dwelmhandelaars en die beslaglegging op groot hoeveelhede dagga gelei.
Brig. Nicky Mills sê die Kimberley K9-lede het die JTG-span gehelp om soektogte op drie verskillende plekke in die Kuruman-omgewing uit te voer.

NC: JOINT TEAM CLAMP DOWN ON DRUGS DEALERS IN KURUMAN AREA
During joint operations conducted by seven members of Kimberley K9 unit and JTG Crime Intelligence today, 15 September 2020 led to the arrest of three drug dealers and the seizure of large amounts of dagga.
According to Brig Nicky Mills, the Kimberley K9 members assisted the JTG team in executing search warrants at three different locations in the Kuruman area specifically focusing on drug dealing.
The first search warrant was executed at 07:15 this morning in Groot Damsros in Mothibistad where a 43 year old male was arrested. The members discovered dagga as well as cash amounting to R3200-00 believed to be the proceeds of the sale of the dagga.
The team then proceeded to a second address at 08:30 in Magwage Village where they follow up on information regarding stolen property that is believed to be stored at a house. A upon searching the premises, the members found :
1 x Lenova laptop
1x Kleenbore Gun cleaning kit
1 x telescope valued at R8000-00.
They also confiscated dagga with an estimated street value of R25 480-00 and arrested a 25 year old male for dealing in dagga and possession of suspected stolen goods.
A third raid was conducted by the same team at 09:30 where they also executed a search warrant in Kagung. A 35 year old male was arrested after they discovered dagga with an estimated street value of R118 690-00 on the premises.
All three suspects will soon appear in the Kuruman Magistrates court.
The JTG District Commissioner, Maj Gen Johan Bean commended the members for their relentless efforts in squeezing the space for drug dealers to operate.
