Key performance areas:
- Responsible for overall financial management of busines
- Provide direction and make recommendations on financial and strategic matters to Board of Directors
- Lead strategic initiatives –e.g. cloud migration of ERP
- Manage a team of accountants
- Communicate with auditors and prepare financials for audit purposes
- Responsible for budget process and ensure overall budgetary control
- Develop and monitor internal control systems
- Own key relationships with financier
- Compile and interpret management accounts
- Provide timely and relevant information to management to aid decision-making
- Improve the effectiveness of the business via the optimization of profit centres
Requirements:
- An appropriate degree in Accounting/Financial Management with financial and cost accounting
- At least 7 years’ experience in such an environment (it will be an advantage if experience is in the agricultural/food industry)
- Knowledge of Navision and Jet reports would be an advantage
