Key performance areas:

  • Responsible for overall financial management of busines
  • Provide direction and make recommendations on financial and strategic matters to Board of Directors
  • Lead strategic initiatives –e.g. cloud migration of ERP
  • Manage a team of accountants
  • Communicate with auditors and prepare financials for audit purposes
  • Responsible for budget process and ensure overall budgetary control
  • Develop and monitor internal control systems
  • Own key relationships with financier
  • Compile and interpret management accounts
  • Provide timely and relevant information to management to aid decision-making
  • Improve the effectiveness of the business via the optimization of profit centres

Requirements:

  • An appropriate degree in Accounting/Financial Management with financial and cost accounting
  • At least 7 years’ experience in such an environment (it will be an advantage if experience is in the agricultural/food industry)
  • Knowledge of Navision and Jet reports would be an advantage
