NOORD-KAAP – Sigarette en tabak ter waarde van R35 000.00 is by die Vioolsdrift-grens gekonfiskeer toe die polisie ’n voertuig deursoek het. In ’n aparte insident is ammunisie ter waarde van R7 350.00 by dieselfde grens gekonfiskeer.

The Police and several other relevant role players had a success after searching a vehicle at the Vioolsdrift Border post recently.
The team confiscated 620 packets of cigarettes and 40 packets of tobacco. The total street value of the goods is estimated at about R35 000.
In a separate operation by Nakop Border Police, 50 rifle projectiles valued at R7350 were confiscated.
The police will continue unabated to enforce the new level 3 Lockdown regulations in the country. The police investigations are continuing in both cases.
