NC: Duo arrested for drug peddling
On 27 March 2020, members from De Aar POP, Vispol, K9 and Emthanjeni Municipal Traffic were conducting a Vehicle Check Point (VCP) on the N10 road to Britstown when they stopped a vehicle with two males who were driving to Groblershoop from Cape Town via Hanover.
The search was done on the vehicle and 499 mandrax tablets were found packed in small plastic bags. The confiscated drugs are estimated to the street value of R39 920.00.
Both suspects aged 39 and 41 years old were arrested and are expected to appear before court soon. Police investigation continues.
