UPINGTON – Die polisie op Upington het ses verdagtes, tussen die ouderdom van 22 en 56, vir die handeldryf in dwelms in hegtenis geneem.

KIMBERLEY: The Upington Border Police, Upington K9 Unit and Paballelo Visible Police confiscated Khat plants and dagga worth more than R70 000 in street value. On Wednesday, 11 March 2020, the team acted swiftly on a tip-off, regarding drugs activities on three separate residences in Rosedale and Paballelo in Upington.
During search and raids, suspects aged 22, 24, 31, 34, 47 and 56 were arrested after were found in possession of dagga and Khat plants. The suspects are facing counts of dealing in dagga and Khat. The Acting Commander of the ZF Mcawu, Brigadier Besnaar applauded members of the community for working in partnership with the police in the endeavours to root-out criminal activities within their own community.
