Max Verstappen made history today by winning the Italian Grand Prix. It was his 10th consecutive victory.
On lap 15, Verstappen passed Carlos Sainz to be crowned as the winner. He surpassed Sebastian Vettel’s previous record of nine consecutive wins. Sergio Perez finished second, while Sainz fiercely competed with his teammate, Charles Leclerc, to secure his third podium position.
George Russell finished fifth, with Lewis Hamilton in sixth place. Both Mercedes drivers received five-second time penalties, but it had no impact on their final positions.
Sainz was chosen as the Driver of the Day by fans.
