Martin Wesemann, an NSRI Hout Bay lifeguard, helped to save the lives of two women on Saturday 29 April 2023, while he was on holiday in Hawaii. Himself, Sean Hutchinson, a friend who lives in Hawaii, as well as Toni, a sailor, did not hesitate to immediately rescue the women, whose vehicle ended up in the water at the port.
