The United State (US) President Joe Biden has agreed to meet with the Russian President Vladimir Putin on condition that he does not invade Ukraine, confirmed the White House on Sunday.
The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will meet with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Thursday as accepted in principle on condition that Russia does not invade Ukraine. The White house and its allies have tried to reach for a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine crisis, with Biden willing to meet with Putin as the latest example.
The US President and the Vice President have both warned that Russia has already decided on the invasion of Ukraine. The key question is when the invasion will happen? The French President Emmanuel Macron recently paid the Russian President a visit with the hope to reach a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine crisis.

The meeting which was broadcast on television sent a clear message as the French President and the Russian President sat far apart from each other. No conclusion was reached, and tensions are still high between Russia and Ukraine.
The United States estimates that about 160, 000 to 190, 000 Russian troops have been stationed near the Ukraine border. The United States had threatened to impose sanctions on Russia with the hope that this would deter them from invading Ukraine. Tensions are still high to this day and the threat of invasion is even worse.

Tensions have been running high in the recent weeks over what could be a Russian invasion in the Ukraine. Russian troops stationed themselves at the border of Ukraine and this is seen as a threat to the Ukrainian people.
The French president and the German president went to visit Russian president Vladimir Putin to de-escalate the situation. Despite talks taking place, Russian troops remained stationed at the border of Ukraine. Threats of sanctions were issued to the Russian president, but that did not push him back.
