33-year old Doctor Mahlaule joined the FiND iT community this week, and we couldn’t be more delighted to introduce him to our readers!

Mahlaule first heard of FiND iT on LinkedIn. He saw it as a great opportunity for him to follow his passion. “I was always very passionate about writing and this is an opportunity for me to showcase my skills.” He says his love for reading news articles and making sense of current issues built his passion for writing.

Mahlaule comes from a family of five. His life changed drastically after grade 12. “My life took a huge turn after I passed matric. I became more focused and decided to put my social life on hold.” Today he holds a diploma in journalism, BA in communication science and an honours degree in media studies. His hobbies include soccer, tennis, athletics, swimming and reading books.

He worked as an ecumenical accompanier in Israel and Palestine in 2012 and in 2018 he joined Zenex Foundation as a Knowledge Management and Communications intern. Once the two-year term ended, he was moved to an assistant role. He then joined Decode Communications at the end of 2021 as a Public Relations intern and worked there for a short while.

Something very interesting to know about Mahlaule is that he was a professional dancer during his school days. Mahlaule says that reading and gaining knowledge make an excellent writer. His advice for upcoming writers, “Never stop chasing your dreams. The more you read, the more you expand your knowledge.”

The thing Mahlaule is most thankful for, is his parents. “I’m the man I am today because I come from a loving home.”

Welcome to our family, Doctor Mahlaule!
