Two parents, who lost their sense of smell after contracting Covid-19, couldn’t smell the smoke when there was a fire in their house. Their lives were saved by their two-year-old son.
The parents were woken up by their son who said “mama, hot” – two of the only word he knew. The smoke alarm had failed and they had lost their sense of smell because of Covid so they thought he wanted them to take off his pajamas, and then they saw the flames.
After he raised the alarm, the family, including five children, escape the house before it burned to the ground.
“We were still recovering from Covid, so neither of us had our sense of taste and smell,” the mom explained in interview.
The parents told local media about how Brandon managed to travel through the family living room — which was fully engulfed by flames — and make it through to his parents’ room and warn them.
“It’s a miracle from God that he was able to do that,” they said.
