And so, we honour our founder, Lourie van Reenen, and look at how our family business began.
Lourie started his entrepreneurship journey with a small cattle-feeding business in 1965. This later became a small cattle business in 1983, which is today known as Beefmaster Group, a leading specialist producer of quality beef products to South Africa, the Middle and Far East, and beyond.
Today Lourie’s entrepreneurial spirit lives on in his sons Roelie, who is our supply chain executive and Louw, our CEO.
Lourie is enjoying his life in retirement, but is often still consulted for an expert business opinion by Roelie and Louw.
