Public Protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane made no effort to conceal her opinions concerning a case that might possibly end up on her desk one day soon. Mkhwebane Tweeted her reaction concerning the Tembisa 10 report that was released on Wednesday.
Alongside an ill-placed Squid Game meme, she made the decision to declare her belief in Independent Media’s version of events, which is probably unbefitting of the position she holds.
Many questioned if the account was a parody and wondered why she would get involved with the Tembisa 10 situation before getting any concrete proof.
In her post, Mkwebane stated that “heads must roll”, after Independent Media accused several health and government officials of moving the ten babies allegedly born to Gosiame Sithole to different hospitals before attempting to pass them on in an elaborate human trafficking scam.
These wild accusations naturally led both the provincial and national health departments to take legal action against the publishing firm, rejecting the “outright lies” made public by the firm.
