Boks hanging on last strings – will they be able to silence critics?

“Cometh the hour, cometh the man.” Will this quote by Winston Churchill epitomize the Springboks rugby team’s performance against All Blacks after the national horrendous performances in the past few games behind them?

Jacques Nienaber remains “very concerned” about the Springboks after back-to-back defeats to the Wallabies in the Rugby Championship.

Through much observation, the Springboks performance to date remains the national side’s worst performance since 2018, and this has placed the Springbok rugby team under heavy scrutiny.

Questions are arising as to what has caused the deep decaying of Boks’ great performances as world champions.

Siya Kolisi, the Springboks team captain, said the Boks are hurt by recent defeats. Kolisi calls for the Boks to show their true colours – the Bok captain will be looking for a greater comeback despite the current odds stacked against them.

The Springbok rugby team should consider a clear cut strategy for today’s game against the All Blacks. Because the team’s recent worst performances happened “for the first time in a long time,” according to Nienaber.

What do you think? Will they be able to make a come back today?
