Want to make your own customised jumper?

You will need:

• Jumper.

• Pieces of A4 and A3 paper

• Acrylic paint

• Newspaper

• Cardboard

• Paintbrush The folded paper technique we used is based on famous Swiss psychologist Hermann Rorschach’s inkblot designs.

STEPS:

1. Line your workspace with newspaper. Place the piece of cardboard in between the top and bottom layers of your jumper.

2. Fold the A3 sheet of paper in half width-wise. Unfold the paper and squeeze drops, swirls, lines or splatters of paint onto one half of the paper, using the fold you just made as your guide.

3. Carefully fold the piece of paper in half again along this line.

4. Smooth out the paint underneath the top layer of paper and unfold the paper carefully. If you aren’t yet happy with the print you’ve made on the paper, repeat Step 2.

5. When satisfied with the print you’ve made, carefully place the paint side of the paper in position on your jumper. Smooth the paper down across the fabric from one of the corners.6 Slowly peel the paper off the fabric and voila!
