A woman has been subbed a ‘real life Barbie doll’ due to her extravagant style. With her big bouncy hair, petite figure, doll like featured and glamorous outfits, it’s no surprise that Elizabeth Smith, 20, from Edinburgh, has been dubbed a Barbie doll by strangers.
Elizabeth says it’s a compliment though and loves wearing custom made clothes. She added: “People say I am the human version of Barbie. I don’t personally see it myself, but I take it as a compliment.
“I think it is mainly because of my makeup and bouncy hair. “I get lots of compliments on my hair, girls are always asking me to show them how to do it but the trick is just lots of backcombing.
“My hair naturally has a lot of volume so that makes it easier, and I have just got very good at backcombing and curling over the years to achieve a big backcombed bouncy look.”
Mom inspires fashion
As well as her bouncy locks, Elizabeth’s lavish outfits make her stand out from the crowd. Elizabeth says that she takes fashion inspiration from her mum, Louise Young, 45. Elizabeth added: “My mum has had eight kids and still looks like a supermodel, so it so fashionable and on-trend.
“Fashion is one of my main interests, it is my favourite hobby and I feel great when I am dressed up in my favourite clothes. “I have a new outfit for each weekend because I love to shop. I online shop most evenings while I am on my phone, but my favourite places to go shopping are Selfridges and Harrods.
