Vacancy: Account Supervisor

KIMBERLEY. – The De Beers Pension Fund (the Fund), a self-administered restricted pension fund for the employees and pensioners of De Beers
South Africa, is seeking to employ an experienced, highly motivated and self-disciplined Accounts Supervisor with strong analytical and
problem solving skills, as well as integrated computer system knowledge and literacy.

Key Performance Areas/ Duties & Responsibilities:

Processing and/or reviewing of various accounting transactions, imports from the pension fund administration system and journal
▪ Payment and processing of operating expenses, including preparing accounts payable/inter-company loan account reconciliations
for the shared service environment (De Beers Pension Fund and Benefit Society);
▪ Processing and reconciliation of electronic fund transfers (inter bank account transfers and payments to SARS, members/pensioners,
third parties and service providers);
▪ Preparing and/or reviewing bank and other general ledger account reconciliations;
▪ Assisting the Financial Accountant/Financial Manager with preparing information required for the annual budgets and
monthly/quarterly management reports, as well as quarterly/annual financial and statutory reports (SARS, South African Reserve
Bank and Financial Sector Conduct Authority);
▪ Assisting in the maintenance of adequate and effective financial systems, records, controls and procedures to ensure the integrity
and reliability of financial/management information, as well as the safe-guarding thereof;
▪ Maintaining productive relationships with other departments, stakeholders and service providers;
▪ Adhering to and/or monitoring compliance with organisational policies, applicable legislation and other regulatory requirements;
▪ Assisting in the development, implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs);
▪ Validating and performing quality control review of electronic scanned images; and
▪ Assisting management with ad-hoc projects.
