SOUTH AFRICA. – Some of the most prestigious wines in South Africa will go on the Care 4 Kings online auction on 20 & 21 November.

This prestigious wine auction is presented by the Care 4 Kings initiative.
Started to support players
This initiative was started in October this year by Braam van Straaten, former Springbok rugby player and coach of the Southern Kings. The Kings were liquidated just days before payday and are still struggling to get back on their feet. Some of these players will never have the opportunity to play rugby again, which is why van Straaten is doing everything in his power to help these guys.
Cellars supporting
Cellars from all over South Africa have contributed to this online auction. Most of these wines have won Veritas accolades, which means it’s the best in the business!
South Africa is not only known for some of the most beautiful wine farms, but wine lovers from all over the world have commented on the quality wines coming from South Africa. Now you have the chance to bid on some of these wines and maybe even get a signed bottle!
Van Straaten says former Springbok rugby players will be signing some of these bottles. “We want to make it a really special auction, with attention to detail and also give the collector something to be proud of.”
The best wines
Van Straaten says it’s an honor that these cellars are willing to put their names behind this initiative. “We are so grateful and we also support the industry, which have suffered tremendously under the Covid-19 regulations earlier this year. This is also an opportunity to market some of these cellars, who can now open their doors again.”
Some of the wines going on the online auction, includes KWV, Beyerskloof, Brink Family Wines, Kaapzicht, La Motte, Flagstone, Nederburg, Alto, Villiera, Darling Cellars, Badsberg and may more.
