Three suspects were arrested and cigarettes estimated at R280 000,00 in Garies yesterday.
The three were arrested by members of Namakwa Public Order Police during a roadblock along the N7 road for contravening the Disaster Management Act regulations. 408 gross vigarettes, 20×20s cigarettes and 24×10 packets of tobacco were confiscated.
Two vehicles were also confiscated as they were used in the commission of crime.
