Drie in hof oor bedreigde spesies

NOORD-WES – Drie verdagtes van onderskeidelik 32, 43 en 45 jaar oud sal Maandag in die Rustenburg-landdroshof op ’n aanklagte van die besit van bedreigde spesies verskyn.

Die drie is Donderdag 23 Julie 2020 in hegtenis geneem omdat hulle glo ’n ietermago naby die Waterfall Mall wou verkoop.

NORTH WEST – Three suspects aged 32, 43 and 45 are expected to appear in the Rustenburg Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 27 July 2020, for possession of endangered species.

The trio’s court appearance follows their apprehension on Thursday,  23 July 2020, after members of the Provincial Organised Crime Unit made a follow up on information about  people who wanted to sell a pangolin around Waterfall Mall in Rustenburg.

According to information received, the police spotted a Silver Ford Figo vehicle with Gauteng Province registration numbers in the vicinity of the mall. The vehicle was approached for a search. Consequently, the  pangolin was found inside the vehicle.  All three suspects were arrested and charged for possession of endangered species.
