Jason Booysen(18) was sentenced to 8 years imprisonment for murder in the Richmond Regional Court, on 14 July 2020.
On 13 December 2019 the deceased, Llewellyn Olivier(22) was busy drinking when he and Jason got involved in an altercation. Llewellyn slapped the accused and was stabbed 5 times and later passed on. Jason was arrested on the same day and was found guilty in the Richmond Regional Court for the murder. The Cluster Commander for Pixley Ka Seme, Brigadier Nomana Adonis lauded D/Cst Rodney Julius for superb investigations that led to the 8 year sentencing.
