Members of Rosedale SAPS were on duty under the command of Warrant Officer Brian Prins when they received information on Saturday about illegal selling of liquor in the periods when no liquor can be sold during level 3 lockdown at Khoisan Valley. Constable Phumzile Gonyela and Constable Frans Nglanie followed up on the tipoff and it was positive. They searched the premises and they found liquor hidden in the shop storeroom and inside the house. The members seized alcohol to the value of R63 620 consisting of beer, Brandy, Wine and other types of liquor packed in boxes. The 24 year old suspect was arrested for the illegal selling of liquor during lockdown. The Station Commander Colonel Schalk Andrews commended the members for their swift action and hard work.
