CALVINIA – ’n Man (56) van Johannesburg is vanoggend tydens ’n padblokkade op Calvinia deur die polisie in hegtenis geneem. Die verdagte is glo in besit van 12,6 kg se crystal meth (tik) met ’n geskatte waarde van R3 971 268.00, gevind.

A 56 year old Johannesburg man was arrested by police during a roadblock in Calvinia this morning. The suspect was found in possession of 12,6kg if Crystal meth (tik tik) estimated at R3 971 268,00.
The drugs were hidden in the spare wheel of the Isuzu bakkie he was driving. An empty hidden compartment was also discovered in the seat of the bakkie.
The suspect was reportedly driving from the Eastern Cape Province to Cape Town.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Calvinia Magistrates court on Monday, 11 Nay 2020.
