Beseerde leerders in hospitaal deur onderwys-LUR besoek

VRYSTAAT. – Die beseerde leerders van Hoërskool Riebeeckstad wat in die hospitaal is, is deur Makalo Mohale, die LUR van onderwys in die provinsie, besoek.

Die leerlinge is in verskeie hospitale in die Matjhabeng-area opgeneem. Bongani-streekshospitaal is een van die hospitale waarin die beseerde meisies na Dinsdagmiddag se gru-busongeluk mediese behandeling ontvang.

Mohale is deur Ketso Makume, die LUR vir Menslike Nedersettings en CoGTA, asook raadslid Thanduxolo Khalip, die burgemeester van Matjhabeng- plaaslike munisipaliteit, vergesel.

Ondersteuning en medelye is aan die families en gemeenskap wat deur die ongeluk geraak is, gebied.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families during this difficult time. May they find the strength to navigate through this unprecedented loss,” sê Mohale, wat vroeër vandag tydens ‘n besoek aan die skool nie sy trane kon keer nie.

Beseerde leerders is spoedige beterskap toegewens en Mohale het verder gesê hy hoop die leerders het die krag om die traumatiese ervaring te oorkom. Die LUR het die beseerde meisies verseker hulle is nie alleen op die herstelpad nie.

MEC MAKALO VISITS PUPILS IN HOSPITAL

Following his visit to Riebeckstad Secondary School located on the outskirts of Welkom, MEC for Education, Makalo Mohale, visited learners from the school who are admitted in various hospitals across Matjhabeng.

This visit comes after a tragic accident that claimed the lives of six learners and left others badly injured. The accident occured on the R70 road near Ventersburg on Tuesday, 07 February 2024. The learners were returning from a school camp, an experience that should have been filled with joy and cherished memories.

During this visit, MEC Mohale was accompanied by MEC for Human Settlements and CoGTA, Mr Ketso Makume, as well as the Mayor of Matjhabeng Local Municipality, Councillor Thanduxolo Khalipa. Together, they offered their support and condolences to the affected families and the community.

MEC Mohale expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their children in this dreadful accident. In his own words, he conveyed a message of deep sorrow and sympathy, saying: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families during this difficult time. May they find the strength to navigate through this unprecedented loss.”

In addition to offering his condolences, MEC Mohale also wished the injured learners a speedy recovery. He expressed his hope that they would find the strength to overcome this traumatic experience, and assured them that they were not alone in their journey towards healing.

While no words can truly console the grief-stricken families, the visit of MEC Makalo Mohale, accompanied by other esteemed officials, shows the government’s commitment to providing support and care to the affected community.
