As we celebrate #WomensMonth, we shine a spotlight on exceptional women who play a leading role at Beefmaster Group. One such person is Lana van Reenen, our branding and communications manager.
Lana has played a leading role in shaping Beefmaster’s branding as well as fostering a direct connection with customers.
She recalls that many years ago Beefmaster only had one retail outlet in Kimberley. “We used to have people saying, your meat is so delicious, where can we get it. We then realised we are not reaching everyone,” she says.
Today we have retail outlets in Kimberley and two in Gauteng (Benoni and Olifantsfontein), and it has built a loyal customer base in those areas since 2005 and 2017 respectively. Besides the general public, our customers include wholesalers, independent retail butcheries, informal shops and street food vendors. In 2021, we added the convenient and online home-delivery service – iBeef – to reach more consumers.
Lana was directly involved in Beefmaster’s new look and feel when we undertook extensive refurbishments of our retail offering in 2019 to offer consumers a more modern experience.
“Now consumers can expect to walk into a modern and clean store, where they can interact with friendly and knowledgeable staff, and access a wide array of quality and carefully curated products, from our own beef to specialised products from local suppliers, like honey and olives,” Lana says.
Have you visited any of our retail outlets yet? 🌟🥩 #BeefmasterGroup
