FiND iT het vroeër vandag berig dat die eienaar van Dube Lodge, ‘n privaat wildsplaas buite Brits in Noordwes en sy vrou gehospitaliseer is na ‘n ernstige aanval op 28 Februarie 2023.
Gert en Celia Scheepers is in hul huis oorval.
Die Lodge het intussen ‘n verklaring uitgereik aan hul besoekers om hul gerus te stel oor veiligheid met verblyf. Reeds bestaande sekuriteit is opgeskerp.

Dear Valued Guests of Dube Private Game Reserve,
We are deeply saddened to inform you of an incident that took place on the 28th of February 2023. A robbery occurred at the residence of the lodge owner. We are relieved to report that he is currently in a stable condition in hospital.
We understand that this may have caused some concerns and anxieties for our guests camping on our grounds. We want to assure you that your safety is our top priority. We have taken immediate action to ensure that our security measures are strengthened and will be taking additional steps to prevent any future problems.
We want to reassure you that we have increased the frequency of our security patrols around the campsite and have implemented additional security measures to ensure the safety of our guests. We are working closely with the authorities to identify those responsible for the incident, and we will do everything possible to bring them to justice.
We understand that this may be a difficult time for our guests, and we are here to provide any support and assistance needed. We urge you to report any suspicious behavior or concerns to our staff immediately. We want to thank you for your understanding and continued support during this time.
