A woman married the colour pink after dating it for more than 40 years, in a bizarre ceremony that made history and is believed to be the first of its kind.
Kitten Kay Sera is known as “the pinkest person in the world”. She made headlines in 2018 when it was revealed that she had spent more than £1 million on her monochromatic house and wardrobe.
She has now taken her obsession a step further by marrying the colour after she got the idea from a child. The child suggested she should marry the colour because she likes it so much.
Marries the colour pink
Katjie’s love affair started almost by accident on her 20th birthday, when she tried to work out what to wear to her party. She settled on a pink top, pink fluffy skirt, pink shoes and pink accessories.
“I felt fantastic. I thought, if wearing so much pink can make me feel fantastic, why not wear pink every day?”
For the ceremony Kitten wore pink, arrived in a pink Chevrolet and gave herself a pink ring.
“I like to say I’m a flamingo in a world full of pigeons. When I walk down a busy street during the morning commute, everyone is wearing grey and black. There is no expression, no individuality. Still, people think I’m the crazy one!”
