Tributes continued to pour in for former Miss India Northern KZN contestant, Karshia Ajudhiya who passed away in an accident on the N11 near Newcastle over the weekend.

Ajudhiya was reportedly traveling home to Newcastle when the vehicle she was in was involved in a crash with a bus on Saturday morning.

Former regional co-ordinator of Miss India SA, Vimmi Ramdass, who had worked closely with Ajudhiya said that she was devastated by her death.

She said Ajudhiya was the first princess at the Miss India NKZN pageant ,and went on to represent northern KZN at the prestigious Miss India SA pageant that took place at the Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City in 2016.

Ramdass added that she had introduced Ajudhiya to her nephew. “They shared a relationship for almost four years and were due to marry soon. I am devastated by her tragic loss.”

The funeral service was held on Sunday in Newcastle.
