BLOEMFONTEIN. – Two rhinos, to the surprise of many motorists, walked calmly in the streets of Bloemfontein on Tuesday.
The two rhinos have meanwhile been identified as Shaka and Shakira who actually live at a local nature reserve.
The rhinos are named after Shaka, the famous Zulu king, and Shakira, the Columbia musician.
The owner of the nature reserve was notified of the two rhinos that escaped around 06:00 on Tuesday morning, OFM reports.
The rhinos’ hike lasted about 20 minutes before they were stopped, shot with an anaesthetic and safely returned to the nature reserve. Watch the video here.
