Henley Aeronautical Institute of Learning (HAIL), a proud member of the Henley Air group of companies, has partnered with STADIO Higher Education to take flight training to the next level.
They are doing this by not only providing quality helicopter training, but combining it with quality tertiary management qualifications so that qualifying candidates can now work towards a Higher Certificate (NQF 5), Diploma (NQF 6), or Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) and learn to fly at the same time.
The need for high quality, concurrent dual qualification within the aviation industry is something that is being prioritised by HAIL. HAIL and STADIO’s combined vision is to equip learners at every stage of their aviation career with concurrent, carefully tailored business skills to ensure that graduates are well-rounded and multi-skilled. Recognition of prior learning means that even if you are a qualified helicopter pilot, you could receive credit for your flying qualification enabling you to complete the academic section in a shorter time period.
A flight qualification is not a cheap investment, with costs that are often prohibitive. This is especially true for the helicopter environment, where the total cost of training is even higher. Henley Aeronautical Institute of Learning has partnered with ABSA to provide qualifying candidates with the option of financing their combined academic and flight qualification.

(optionally includes concurrent flight training up to SACAA PPL(H) level)
This program is aimed at candidates who do not wish to move beyond private pilot level, at aviation entrepreneurs wishing to broaden their industry skillset or at current aviation operational staff wishing to both enhance their managerial skills and understand the aviation environment. The practical flight training component is optional, making this the ideal qualification for those who might be seeking theoretical knowledge, without necessarily wanting to become a pilot.

(includes concurrent flight training up to SACAA CPL/IF(H) level)
This comprehensive tertiary qualification places successful candidates at a distinct advantage as they search for their first flying job – they are dual qualified after four years, with both the necessary flying qualifications as well as a solid managerial background enabling them to enter the workforce with a well-rounded understanding of how the industry works on more than just a stick-and-rudder level.
